As I wasn’t able to take part in the cooking lesson this week, as I was running for an exam, I was asked to write an article on how to make Risotto. Here it is in a very brief outline on how to make Risotto.

Step1: Prepare vegetables. Put kettle on.

Step 2: Finely dice onion.

Step 3: Crumble stock cubes into 1 ½ litres of water. Stir with wooden spoon and pour into small saucepan.

Step 4: Grate cheese on white board. Then use larger amount of butter and put into large saucepan, on large ring, on half heat.

Step 5: Once butter has melted add onion to butter, until onion has softened.

Step 6: Add saffron to stock.

Step 7: Add rice to onion and put on low heat for about 2mins. Put stock on medium size ring on low heat.

Step 8: Put rice on half heat and ladle in stock very gradually.

Step 9: Then add pepper, cheese, butter, and vegetables. Then stir.

Step 10: Present the Risotto and serve.
