Year 7 and 3 have worked collaboratively this summer term to design and make their own sculptures.  They have been on a wonderful journey taking them from observational drawings, to designing a sculpture, making a prototype and problem solving (with peer and teacher feedback) and finally making the final outcome.  The sculptures are fantastic and have been positioned in a ‘Sculpture Garden’ which we have built a fence around and completed each one with solar twinkle lights.  So much hard work has gone in to this project and the students have shown outstanding one school skills thought; learning so many different skills along the way.

We unveiled them this morning and want to say a huge thank you to everyone who was able to attend.  The students really enjoyed being your tour guides.

I have designed this project to be an ongoing entity.  We are planning to do a similar project next summer term and will add those sculptures to the Sculpture Garden.  It is a piece of art that will grow with the school and have a variety of students contributing to it. Miss Taylor
