Year 10, 11 & 12 Sports Day Practice

The Years 10, 11 & 12 went to the Spectrum in Guildford on Monday 13th June to practise for Sports Day. Although the weather forecast was terrible with predicted floods in Guildford around 2pm, we took the risk and went for it!! We were very lucky as it stayed dry until we got back to school at the end of the day!

The pupils practised their Running, Throwing, Hurdles and they showed a very mature, independent and sensible attitude. They worked hard on improving their own performances and the girls did particularly well with their long distance runs.

Special mentions to Ella Cook who has beaten her best at the Javelin with an excellent 18m18! (let’s aim for 20m on Sports Day!); Sam Albon whose natural ability and beautiful running technique impressed our small audience (and particularly Mrs Hunt!) and Ali Rose who ran very well on his long distance run.

Many thanks to the (many!) drivers who came to help and to Mrs Scott for organising the transport.

A huge Thank You to Annabel as well for all the work she does behind the scenes and for being so organised and efficient!

On your marks, get set, go & practise for Sports Day!
