Year 3 have been working hard in their literacy lessons over the last few weeks. They have been reading and using the story ‘Fantastic Mr. Fox’ to familiarise themselves with characters and plot, describing characters, and identifying main ideas and summarising them in the form of a storyboard. To add another dimension to this expansive learning, Miss. Wonders chose to use this great story as a play for our book week assembly to the whole school and to the parents and family of the students.

We have been impressed with the students, so much so that they have all submitted a OneSchool Skill citation for this ‘Involvement in School’. One of many more to come we hope.

In our class assembly we listened to others to help with and support new ideas and worked with team spirit inside and outside of our literacy lessons. Ronan Taylor

Many thanks to the parents for helping with the fantastic costumes and a huge well done to the students who worked so hard. Mrs Unwin

Assemblies from the lower school are often enchanting and Y3 delivered an assured performance. Whilst I was impressed by the class performance, the narrators were excellent. Mr Still
