Our Year 3 hardworking maths and literacy groups are making good steady progress.

We have enjoyed our first half term with them and look forward to working with them in the next half term. Mrs. Unwin

Year 6 Update

Year 6 pupils have been busy presenting their SDL projects based on Peer Teaching, a public speaking task in which, during 3 to 5 minutes, the speaker imparts their knowledge on a specific topic to the rest of the Year 6 group.

The pupils so far have given some inspiring presentations on Woodwork, Planes at War, Football and Food across the World.

For our presentations we have benefitted by using the SDL Amphitheatre.

News from our Year 5 classroom

Year 5 had a beautiful day for their historical walk around the Devils Punchbowl.

We had a visit from a lady from Hindhead who spoke to class regarding Hindhead about changes that have occurred after the tunnel was built. The children and teachers learnt a lot from her, great first hand experience.

A positive start to the year. Mr. Lees

The class are making good progress in all areas.

Our Year 5 librarians for the Keystage have been selected by Year 6, this is an important responsibility and has been met with enthusiasm.

Mrs. Gregory and Mr.Lees are very proud of Cailey and Ruby for being selected for leadership responsibilities, FANTASTIC!

Year 4 highlights

Our Class Trip to Bignor Roman Villa, more details to follow!

Students making their Roman shields, such a creative class.

In our literacy lessons we have been working on the characterisation of Marcellus Maximus.
