David Jackson, Specialist Advisory Teacher for Vision Impairment in Surrey was in school on Tuesday 14th June in order to do staff training on ‘pupils with visual impairment’. We were thrilled to have new staff who will be joining us in September attending.

David presented an informative and helpful PowerPoint on the eye and on the nature of different visual impairments and what this might mean for the person. He gave practical and informative ideas of how to help cater and support students with this disability. Staff left with a knowledge and insight into this particular impairment and are now better informed as what needs to put in place for September to support our visually impaired students.

We would like to thank David for his time, support and guidance and Gail Young for organising the delicious cupcakes!
