Our new Year three class have settled in so well! We have started our learning journey at Hindhead Campus on a high note. – Exclaims a rather proud Mrs Unwin (Support Assistant).

In our Literacy classes we have been learning about books, in particular authors and illustrators. The aim of the task was to introduce the important theme of self directed learning. The children were set a homework task to create their own book covers, the results were amazing. Miss Wonders certainly recognised the hard work of the students and appreciated the support of the parents. Cassia and Indiana showed real artistic flair.

From literacy to history. We have been learning about the Stone Age as part of our “Stone Age to Iron Age” topic. The children were challenged to make their own Stone Age houses using materials found in our school playground. This unit helps introduce students in a very hands-on way, mapping the progression from cave to dwelling. Top marks to all the teams with commitment shown by all.

We are so proud of the team based work that they have produced, in such a short time.

We are looking forward to seeing what else our wonderful class can achieve this term. Miss Wonders.

The work is proudly on display for all to see. We know that our students must have worked, research, planned at home. We welcome your feedback and record of home learning in the student planners.
