Recently we announced the availability of a fantastic new online learning resource Britannica. Britannica has a complementary online learning resource Britannica ImageQuest providing nearly 3 million images from collections and trustworthy sources. These are high quality, high resolution images and quite simply stunning with informative descriptions and cited.

I was given a trial and sharing powerful image finder resource with Kerry Taylor during her Science when she added “It would be great if we could have this too?” I could see her point of view and so asked Kerry to write a letter to Laurie Barton, (Curriculum and Training Specialist at Britannica Digital Learning) expressing her interest in a student trial of the product in exchange for a feedback and potential endorsement.

Kerry duly wrote the email, which I supported and shared with Laurie Barton and our National Support Office. We were very pleased to receive a positive response but extremely surprised to find out that Laurie was so impressed by Kerry’s email that a trial has been provided for ALL Focus Learning Trust students.

I have now set up a pilot of the ImageQuest resource for the Focus Schools. I have set this up to last until the end of June. Laurie Barton
