Just a brief note to our school and wider community. A note of thanks and appreciation.

Our term has started positively, there were many positive and forward thinking conversations with Sixth Formers regarding their education choices and Mrs Squires would like to thank them for their patience. We are working with the VC tutors and IT support to ensure all students have access to headsets, conferencing software (ZOOM) and class courses on Canvas.

The students appearance is first class. We anticipate that polished shoes well be retained throughout the year. We remain hopeful – football presents a fierce challenge to polished shoes in the winter months.

Students are already experiencing aspects of the SDL framework in many of their lessons, after safety notices and class routines have been established of course. We are placing extra focus on home-school communication and signing your child’s planners over the weekend is appreciated. Thank you for the positive notes and feedback we have received today. Class teachers were buoyed by your remarks.

Our adoption of “no bells” has been positive. I am sure we would agree that time-keeping is an important life skill.

Drivers, thank you for using the turning circle, we aim to have the drop off and waiting areas marked as soon as possible.

A number of phone calls to parents were made this afternoon in light of the positive impression made by a number of our students. That level of support and respect from the students has not gone unnoticed. I should also add a mention to the fantastic impression our new Year 3 students have made.

Keep up the good work.
