As Headteacher I am very fortunate to be able to visit our classrooms almost every day. Last week I read this fantastic piece of poetry, part of the poetry slam event. I was hoping you will enjoy it too, now open wide…
At the dentist
“Come sit in my chair,” the dentist said,
Then he shone a bright light on my head,
And he said, “Open wide.”
Then he peered inside,
What would he say next?-was my dread.
Extractions here are what we need,
“Oh no, oh no, please don’t” I plead.
I’m afraid so, Miss,
With all of that fizz,
From now on, on healthy food feed.
