Wednesday 7th December 2016 saw the first ever South-East Focus Schools Cross Country Meeting at the Hindhead Campus. A total of 72 students from Years 7, 8 and 9 from the Hindhead, Kenley, Linton Park and Wilton campuses descended on the Devil’s Punch Bowl National Park for their first ever SE inter-school house cross country event.

start-x-countryThe day was a resounding success with all students giving maximal effort for their house and trying to earn valuable points towards a final grand total. With a fantastic sign on sportsmanship being shown in the Year 7 Girls race where Anya Steedman (Wilton) and Sky Wheeler (Kenley) crossed the line at exactly the same time earning a huge amount of points for Warriors house!

cxcc-winnersThe event was eventually won by Warriors house with Raiders in 2nd and Troopers in 3rd. A special mention must go to all of the volunteers and Sixth Form helpers who gave their time and effort to help the event run as smoothly as possible.

Thank you to every member of staff who helped with the organising of the event, including every member of PE staff from all campuses for making the day a success. But most importantly, thank you to every student who attended and gave their all for their house. You made the event.
